Minecraft fans — this is BIG! 🎮⛏️**
During today’s Minecraft LIVE, the official Minecraft livestream dedicated to the latest news, updates and announcements from the world of Minecraft, presenter Daisy Mercedes revealed not one, but TWO major updates for the highly anticipated Minecraft World at Chessington.
And one of them finally answers a question theme park fans have been asking for months…
🎢 COASTER NAME REVEAL!
The world-first Minecraft rollercoaster coming to Chessington will officially be called:
ESCAPE THE NETHER
The name Escape the Nether will make sense to Minecraft fans. The Nether is the dangerous, fiery dimension within Minecraft, packed with hostile mobs, lava and plenty of ways to get yourself into trouble — so escaping it sounds like a pretty good idea!
And there’s another important detail — the coaster will feature both indoor AND outdoor sections, taking riders from the Minecraft world inside the main building and out into the open air.
The attraction is part of Minecraft World, the huge new area being created at Chessington for 2027.
But that wasn’t all Daisy had to reveal…
🏨 A MINECRAFT HOTEL IS COMING!
In another huge announcement, it was confirmed that a Minecraft-themed hotel will also be coming to Chessington when the new area opens in 2027.
And it sounds like guests won’t simply be staying near Minecraft World — the Minecraft theme will be brought into the accommodation itself.
The hotel will feature Minecraft-themed bedrooms, as well as the Deep Sea Diner, giving Minecraft fans even more opportunity to stay immersed in the block-building world beyond the theme park itself.
We’re very happy to see Chessington go absolutely all out with the newest part of the park. Theme Park Daily will bring you more Minecraft World news as it drops.
