CONTENT CREATOR OF THE WEEK, THEME PARK KATE

From TikTok hobby to a UK Theme Park Awards nomination, we spoke to Kate after a very busy 2026.

CONTENT CREATOR OF THE WEEK, THEME PARK KATECREATOR

This week we caught up with one of our favourite influencers Theme Park Kate @ThemeParkKate on TikTok. 2026 saw her rack up over half a million likes and be nominated at the UK Theme Park Awards.

Kate consistently produces quality, watchable content but one thing we particularly love is her is variety of locations. Plenty of creators post mainly from one or two parks (and we're not knocking that) but Kate is absolutely all over the place! Her home park is Paultons but just in the last few weeks we’ve seen her all over the country at least at 6 different scare maze locations.

The big UK parks are covered of course, along with some international parks but also loads of cool small events you probably would miss. Thanks Kate, we didn't even know Stourbridge had a scare maze!

For anyone who hasn't discovered you yet, tell us a little about Theme Park Kate and what got you into creating theme-park content.

So, I'm Kate, a 24-year-old nerd who loves theme parks! My TikTok was created to showcase my love for everything from theme parks in the UK and across the globe to scare events and other random attractions.

Ever since I was young, I have visited theme parks. My parents got divorced when I was quite young and, despite my mum working three jobs to keep us afloat, she would always save Clubcard points and money for Merlin passes. I think spending so much quality time with my mum at parks has really contributed to why I work so hard on creating content.

My love for parks grew from seeing her work so hard to get at least one or two visits a year. Being able to go so frequently now is a blessing. I really feel at home at parks, and I want to share that feeling with others.

You've recently passed 10,000 followers on TikTok. What does that milestone mean to you, and has anything surprised you about building your audience?

Honestly, I am still in shock that 10,000 people follow me! My account is just a hobby to me, as I have a full-time job, so the fact that people want to hear me ramble on about it is crazy!

I feel so honoured and proud that we have connected with that many people online. If I can share a bit of my joy with someone who may need it, that's an incredible feeling.

I feel that the majority of my audience are teens and above who don't care for the drama that is created around theme parks. They just want to experience places, which they are doing through watching my content. All of my followers are also so kind, and I wouldn't change anyone for the world.

You were nominated for Content Creator of the Year at this year's UK Theme Park Awards. How did it feel to see your name on the shortlist, and did you make it along to the awards at Blackpool Pleasure Beach?

This was genuinely another crazy thing that has happened this year, and I couldn't believe it when I saw my name was amongst that incredible group of creators.

I mostly feel proud of myself for getting to a place with my TikTok where I am being recognised for all of the hard work. I was so thankful to the park and the awards for inviting me down, but unfortunately, I was in Florida when the awards were on.

You're one of the most consistent creators in the UK theme-park community, putting out content pretty much daily. How do you manage to keep momentum going, and where do you find the time and ideas for so much content?

I fear that this one is tricky to answer, as I definitely have days where I do not feel creative, or I am tired or stressed during the workday and do not want to post at all.

I think new ideas come randomly. Some of the best videos I have made have been ones that have sprung to mind whilst visiting certain places.

I like to not put too much pressure on myself when it comes to creating content, as I always try to remember not to be consumed by TikTok. Like I said, this is a passion, and I will always strive to post every day if I have content to share, but equally, I will cut myself some slack if I'm not feeling particularly creative that day!

What's been your favourite piece of content to make so far, and is there one video that stands out as a particular favourite?

I don't think I have any favourite videos in particular, as I only post the videos I love. Some never even make it to the page. However, I will forever love making videos during the spooky season. I get the most joy out of being with friends at scary events and picking up on details that others may miss. Being able to share reviews and details like this online feels so special, as there are people who will comment and say, "No way would I have spotted this without you pointing it out."

Who are your own favourite theme-park content creators to follow, and are there any creators you think our readers should be checking out?

I have quite a wide range of creators that I watch, from Theme Park Worldwide and Jack Silkstone to The Miracle Detective and Sophia Park Adventures. I like to watch a huge range of TikTokers, including the likes of Coastertog. Anything information- and fun-filled!

Everyone I have mentioned above, you should definitely check out if you can. There are so many more that I could list, but I believe that list would never end.

We’ve seen you talk about the Universal UK project. What are you most excited about with the project, and is there anything you'd particularly love to see them announce?

I am SUPER EXCITED for Universal UK, and I think I am most looking forward to the Jurassic World area!

I am a huge lover of the film and the area over in Orlando, so I would love to see how they recreate that in a fresh way here in Bedford. Personally, I would love to see a Back to the Future area. I think that is such an iconic film and would suit the park massively.

Finally, what's next for Theme Park Kate?

I wish I could tell you! We are in the midst of spooky season currently, so a lot more Halloween events are on the cards. I will be trying to visit some more Merlin parks over the Halloween season, including LEGOLAND and Chessington. But I'll also visit some of our Merlin parks during the winter period.

I am very excited to be visiting SLK STN Unlocked next month, too, as it's a brilliant event hosted by a very cool guy I know. < readers, see Mimi’s recent SLK STN article >

Then, next year, we are planning to get to some staple European parks, such as Phantasialand and Europa-Park.

OK Kate some Quick-fire questions!

Favourite time on a coaster ever?

My favourite time on a coaster has got to be on Shambhala at PortAventura. It was my partner's and my first ride, and it was truly incredible. His reaction to it will always bring me joy, as seeing him so excited was an incredible feeling.

Your go-to treat after a long day at the park?

Oooo, good question! I am quite simple. I love a packet of M&M's or a cookie. Super boring, but they are so good!

Hard to beat M&M’s to be honest! If you had to wear merch of JUST ONE coaster EVERY DAY for an entire year, what would it be?

Definitely my Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure shirt. Harry Potter has a sacred place in my heart, and that ride is incredible. I do not ever wear ride merch, but Hagrid is my exception!

Thanks for reading everyone! Now go give Kate a follow @ThemeParkKate
