WEATHER WARNING! RIDES SHUT DUE TO HIGH WINDSBREAKING

Breaking update from Theme Park Daily.

Storm Austin has struck…

High winds caused the majority of rides to close today at Thorpe Park. At time of writing only Walking Dead, Dobble Teapark and a few other rides were in operation. Fright Night characters are still patrolling the wet and windy Theme Park.

Many major rides at Alton Towers are reportedly closed too.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is confirmed as closing early today due to the weather.

If you’re planning a theme park trip this week please check the weather forecast and prepare. If you’re travelling a long distance to a park and the high winds persist it may be worth considering an alternative date.

Stay safe everyone!
