Theme Park Daily’s Ai Promise

With AI imagery becoming a hot theme park topic TPD makes a promise our readers.

Theme Park Daily’s Ai PromiseUpdate

AI images are everywhere at the moment. From error riddled theme park merch to promo artwork that looks as though it was created in seconds, they’re difficult to avoid. You’ve probably seen some of the examples recently shared by park influencers. One AI creation that simultaneously made us laugh and cringe was in Digital Dan’s video of a catering truck selling a ‘FRIEHTENINGLY GOOD COFFEE’ and ‘CAPPUCINO’. It’s hard to believe that menu ever made it out into the real world!

Last week, Theme Park Daily used an image from Universal Resort as the main picture for our Harry Potter article. It was a well put together image but clearly AI and prompted (excuse the pun) a couple of negative comments. After chatting to one of the readers, we realised they had mistakenly assumed that we had created the entire image on Chat GPT ourselves.

That conversation got us thinking. We can’t totally avoid AI imagery, particularly when it’s an official image made by a third party, however, there is one thing we can promise our readers:

Theme Park Daily will never create AI-generated graphics for our article covers.

Theme Park Daily’s Ai Promise

One of the reasons we started Theme Park Daily was that so many websites are flooded with AI imagery. We find them quite inauthentic and unengaging, and wanted to build something different.A welcoming place for theme park fans, created with genuine enthusiasm for community and the people who love it.

That doesn’t mean we’re against AI. It's incredibly useful when used in the right way. But there’s a difference between using tech to help create something and filling the internet with more AI slop.

So, if on a rare occasion you spot an AI-generated image accompanying a story on Theme Park Daily in the future, please know that we haven’t produced it ourselves and there’s a good reason it’s been chosen.

That’s our pledge to you. We want to keep Theme Park Daily feeling creative, unique and made by people who genuinely love theme parks. And we think that’s worth protecting.
