The development is part of Minecraft World, a brand-new land set to open at Chessington in 2027. After months of construction, fans can finally start getting a proper idea of what the coaster will look like — and it’s safe to say the project is looking considerably more exciting now that there’s actual track involved.
The coaster will be a world-first Minecraft-themed coaster, forming part of what Chessington describes as the world’s first fully immersive Minecraft-inspired theme park land. The area will also feature interactive adventures, block-built playscapes, themed retail and dining. And while we’re still waiting for the full Minecraft experience to arrive, at least this build doesn’t require us to spend three hours punching a tree before we can get started.
With Minecraft World scheduled to open in 2027, the appearance of the outdoor track marks another major milestone for the project. Chessington is keeping many of the finer details under wraps for now, but with the coaster now visibly taking shape, the countdown to stepping into the Minecraft world is officially getting very real.
